Not only were we not able to leave the airport we weren't allowed to leave the Airplane!!!
It was interesting viewing it from the sky and at landing. It really is just all sand and mansions and water corridors that are built like street blocks to park yachts on outside the mansions.
There were several women in burkas on the flight and a most interesting western women with hair blonder than mine. she had been wearing a tank top and pants and just prior to deplaning...presto change-o she was covered in back from head to toe with a beautiful ornate back scarf, which would have resembled a nun's whipped had it not been bejeweled. She had an Arab husband and a little boy and I wondered about what her life must be like.
Wow, that does sound interesting! So glad you have been safe on your travels so far. I pray your last flight went well and that your first meeting with your little girl is wonderful! Love from all of us in SLC!
