Tigist is shy and sensitive.  We could tell that the nannies had prepared her to meet her new parents.  She shyly smiled when we entered the room.  What a moment that was!!!! She sat quietly for a while and then suddenly she cried and toddled back to her nannies.  

We had brought her a wrapped present from my mom and that set her off crying when I gave it to her. She was not interested in the blanket, but she loved the yellow ribbon it was wrapped in.  To demonstrate her personality...she loved the ribbon and kept holding on to it like it was the greatest prize.  When other kids took it from her she did nothing to try to take it back, she just wrinkled her face up and cried and the nannies got it back for her.
